Unfortunately being an Internet-based company we do not offer a traditional printed brochure. This is done purely to keep costs down - savings we endeavour to pass on to our customers. Our online catalogue does however contain comprehensive product information.

Our website currently only allows shipping to addresses within the United Kingdom. However we are more than happy to supply individual shipping quotations to our overseas customers. Just let us know which product(s) you're interested in and where you are and we'll shop around for the most competitive shipping rates for your order.

  Credit Card Security

This one crops up a lot regarding all shopping on the Internet!

We do not receive or store any credit card details or other sensitive information at Livingaidsonline. All transactions are processed by Protx™, who use bank approved software and the highest level of encryption to ensure that your credit card details are kept secure at all times. The Protx certificate may be viewed by clicking on the padlock at the bottom of the payment pages. Please note: we do not charge your card until your order is ready to ship.

For those customers who really don't want to use their credit card online, we are of course happy for you to telephone, fax or post your card details and our site will allow you to choose this option when you place your order.

We are happy to accept a cheque drawn on a UK bank but do require time for it to clear before shipping your order. Just select 'Invoice and Payment Before Delivery' during the order process.

We would ask that our customers do NOT e-mail credit card details - this can constitute a risk.

We do NOT sell, supply or share our customer database with ANY organisation. Also our mailing list is 'Opt-In' (you choose if you want to sign up) and is used solely by us to keep you informed of offers, new products etc.

  What about Cookies?

Our website does make use of cookies. These little text files reside on YOUR computer and allow our system to keep track of your shopping basket as you move through the ordering process. You, as a customer can optionally choose a cookie to remember your details so the next time you shop you don't need to type out your details again. Remember these cookies reside on your system and do NOT allow us to do anything to your computer!

  • Our website uses a sophisticated system to 'weigh' your cart as you add and remove items from your cart. Our shipping charges start at 75p for standard Royal Mail First Class post and packing.
  • Our normal maximum shipping charge is £9.95
  • Our site will not proceed with an order if your cart weight exceeds 25Kg. In the unlikely event of this occurring, you will be asked to contact us so we can supply you with an individual shipping quote.
  • Orders over £5 are sent either Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery and will require a signature on receipt.
  • Our courier service for heavy/bulky items is a 'business hours' service. Unfortunately this means we cannot specify a morning or afternoon delivery slot. Our courier will not leave an item without obtaining a signature confirming safe receipt. We will contact you the day before despatch to ensure the delivery day is convenient and that someone will be in to receive the goods.

Your shipping charge will fall into one of the following price bands (all prices include VAT)

  • 75p, £1.50, £2.60, £3.65, £4.75, £6.20, £9.95 - Courier service upto 25Kg

Free Shipping Conditions:

  • Offer applies to orders having a value of £100 or over (inc VAT)
  • Offer applies to standard UK deliveries, not our custom overseas shipping service.
  • Offer only applies to single orders not multiple small orders to the same address.
  • Customers claiming VAT relief on their order are eligible for this offer, provided that their order as displayed inclusive of VAT exceeds the £100 threshold

  Livingaidsonline and WEEE

WEEE Regulations - What is WEEE?

WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. WEEE is one of the fastest growing waste streams in Europe. EEE may contain hazardous substances which, if exposed, could have a serious detrimental effect on the environment and human health. To help customers identify Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment, a crossed out wheelie bin logo will be displayed on the product. These products should not be disposed of with household waste or sent to landfill sites.

What are the WEEE regulations?

From July 2007 all manufacturers (or anyone else selling a product on the market in the EU) are liable to pay for take-back, treatment and recycling of end-of-life electrical equipment. This is to reduce the amount of such items being sent to landfill sites.

What are Livingaidsonline doing to meet the WEEE regulations?

As a distributor we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of WEEE. For this reason, and to comply with WEEE regulations, we offer a free take back scheme. When you purchase a new product you may return your old product to us for environmentally friendly disposal. We can only do this if the new product has the same use as the old one, so if you buy a new electric toothbrush we will take back your old one. Please return old products within 28 days of purchasing your new one to: WEEE returns, Livingaidsonline, Unit 6, Nimrod Drive, 14 Hillary Court, Rowner, Gosport PO13 8BE.

More information on WEEE and recycling can be found at http://www.recycle-more.co.uk/

Which products do Livingaidsonline sell that are covered by the WEEE regulations?

Small electrical items such as hairdryers and electric toothbrushes. These items can be identified by the crossed out wheelie bin logo (see below) in the product literature.

WEEE

What happens to returned items?

Any items returned to us will be taken to a WEEE compliant recycling site.
