| | Nicorette 2mg Low Strength Gum - 30 Pack |
High Street price : £5.69Nicorette® Gum allows you to control how much nicotine you use and when you use it. It is available in different strengths, Full Strength 4mg Gum and Low Strength 2mg Gum, so it is important to choose the correct strength to suit your individual smoking pattern. The 2mg strength is suitable for patients smoking 20 cigarettes or less per day. The 4mg strength is suitable for those smoking more than 20 cigarettes per day. How does it work ? When you chew Nicorette® Gum it releases controlled amounts of nicotine into your body - about a third of the nicotine in a cigarette - to help you deal with cravings and withdrawal symptoms. When you use Nicorette® Gum correctly you can double your chances of quitting successfully. How do I use the Gum ? Nicorette® Gum is not an ordinary chewing gum so you should not chew it in an ordinary way. To make sure you get the most from Nicorette® Gum you should use the correct chewing technique. First chew the gum slowly until the taste becomes strong. When this happens, rest the gum between your cheek and teeth. Chewing the gum releases the nicotine which is then absorbed through the lining of the mouth. When the taste has faded chew the gum again. How many pieces do I need ? Most people start by using 10-15 pieces of gum each day. You should use the gum for at least 3 months and then gradually reduce the number of pieces you chew. If you start with the Full Strength 4mg Gum, you can switch to the Low Strength 2mg Gum during the reduction stage. Ingredients: Gum, each piece containing Nicotine 2mg. Warnings: Use with caution with peptic ulcer, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, skin disorders (e.g. psoriasis, chronic dermatitis, urticaria), angina, recent MI, cerebrovascular accident, recent stroke, hypertension and peripheral vascular disease and serious cardiac arrhythmias. Contraindicated (must not be used) in pregnancy, lactation, non-tobacco smokers and hypersensitive patients. High Street price : £5.29Recommended for light smokers Helps you stop smoking What's in the gum Each piece of gum contains 2mg of nicotine in a resin complex. What you need to know about Nicotinell Gum Nicotinell 2mg gum contains a nicotine resin in a chewing gum formulation. When chewed, nicotine is released slowly and absorbed through the lining of the mouth. This nicotine replacement alleviates some of the unpleasant withdrawal effects that frequently occur when giving up smoking such as feeling ill or irritable. How to use Nicotinell 2mg gum Nicotinell gum is not like ordinary chewing gum, you should stop smoking completely when you start using it. One piece of chewing gum should be chewed when you feel the urge to smoke. It is important to chew correctly. Nicotinell chewing technique: 1 Chew one piece of gum slowly until taste becomes strong. 2 Rest the piece of gum between your gum and cheek. 3 Chew again when taste has faded. 4 Repeat chewing routine for about 30 minutes. Most people use 8-12 pieces of 2mg gum a day. Do not use more than 1 piece of gum at a time and do not use more than 25 pieces of 2mg gum a day. After about 3 months you must gradually cut down the number of pieces you chew each day, until you have stopped using Nicotinell 2mg gum completely. You should not use the gum for more than 6 months.
